[SOLVED] Is it possible to play modern games with a Pentium Gold? (sorry if stupid)

I wasn't even aware pentium have a gold line of processors, I thought its done with pentium 4 like a decade ago. so can I play games like Witcher 3 and RDR2 with any of this Gold processors? It seems they only have two cores but high GHz, almost same as my i7 Ghz, with proper tweaks and graphics settings is it possible to play at any rate?

A dual core would not voluntarily be anyone's choice these days for gaming...

However, there are lots of gaming comparisons with these CPUs, as long as you have no aspirations/goals of buttery smooth gameplay at 100.144 Hz refresh, etc...

No is the simple answer.

You can play esports or older games on them with enjoyable results.

However, don't expect an ideal experience in anything that could remotely considered CPU demanding, so RDR2 and Witcher 3 might not have a great framerate. 2 cores causes a lot of stutter in some games, too.
