Is it possible to plug an HDMI cable into another HDMI cable?

I know this is a strange question. However I cannot access the HDMI port on my monitor because it is vesa-mounted to this wooden board in such a way that is really difficult/impossible to unscrew and screw back together. I have the HDMI cable plugged into my graphics card in my PC though and that is the only port from my monitor that is accessible.

I want to connect a device to my monitor via HDMI however that device requires an HDMI port and I only have an HDMI cable. So I was wondering if there was something like a male to female adapter cable or is it the other way around? I don't know what the ends of the cables are called. Could I use a splitter cable or something?

Basically I am attempting to plug my phone into my monitor via a micro USB to USB type C cable and the USB type C cable has an HDMI output on the other end since my phone doesn't have native USB type C.

I want to do this so I can make a second 15 inch or 10 inch screen for my phone to use as a second portable PC when on the go since I like to watch video content on my phone like Netflix but the screen is too small. I would also hook up a portable wireless keyboard via bluetooth or something.

Any thoughts on this project?

Hey there,
You need a female female converter. You can find it less than 10 bucks from local stores or amazon. It's basically a small box with female hdmi ports each. Also there's some cables with female hdmi one end and male hdmi other end. That cable price depends on the cable length.
Have a good day.

Thank you so much! I will get that cable and see if it works. Cheers!

I would just get an HDMI switch. You need a cable to go from the switch to the TV, so use the one already there and move it from the GPU to the switch. Now plug in any other devices you have into the switch. Select what you want to use from the switch.

Is this switch box what you mean? -- TeckNet 3 Port HDMI Auto Switch Box plus Remote - 3x1 HUB (3 way input 1 output) 1080p Full HD HDMI Switcher

It has 3 ports and 1 output port so I can plug my monitor's cable into the output port and then either my phone or PC into the input ports? Or is it the other way around? Thank you very much! :)

That's exactly how it works. You'd still have a third port as well for a friends phone, Xbox/Play station, etc. If it's that hard to get behind the TV I'd use a switch box so you can easily hook up devices to it. Rather than try to share one cord.
