I have an Acer Swift 1 (SF114-32) laptop. I installed Linux. In fact this is my first laptop, I used a desktop PC till now. I would like to use it like a PC, and I want to attend to it, because maybe later I will give it as a present, or simply sell it. I don't want to get crumbs and dust into the keyboard for example.
Is it possible somehow to switch it on, and use it all day without opening the lid?
Of course I have USB keyboard, mouse, and external monitor with HDMI port.
I would like to turn on the laptop let's say via a keypress, or key combo from a USB keyboard. Or for example by a special device which connects to the USB 3.1 type C port, called docker or docking station. Or by a special device which uses the "wake on lan / wlan" technology by a USB connected ethernet plug. I have the AX88772B network controller device, USB to RJ45 adapter, which supports wake on lan, according to its data sheet.
When I searched the internet I found this funny method too

However I would like to use a regular switcher device with a button if other methods doesn't work, eg.: https://www.norwegiancreations.com/2015 … ed-button/
I have already tried out switching on at a given time, called RTC wake-up, following this post https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=55048 and it worked without a hitch.
