My setup is going to be a TV plus 2 other regular monitors. The two monitors I want to display my regular desktop. However, I want to know if it's possible to have my TV alone boot up into big picture mode (for some good old couch gaming.) Thanks.
You can just install the Steam OS if you want, as that would be easier overall. Or you could set Steam as a StartUp task so that it starts immediately and have Big Picture Mode set as default.

SteamOS is based on Linux, and not many of my Steam games are Linux compatible. I'd rather not wait for them all to be ported to Linux, as some of my most played games are very old and unlikely to be ported any time soon.
Right, and that is why I also suggested just setting it as a StartUp task and set to Big Picture Mode as default. That way when your computer starts up the Steam app will automatically open too.

Wouldn't that also make the monitors display big picture as well?
People in forums are saying you can set the monitor to run from in Steam Settings menu. Don't know from personal experience if it works or not because I only use one.
