Question Is it possible to scavenge all-in-one computers for their drives?

I have an old Z1 work station lying around and I was wondering if I show scrap it for some spare part for my new computer. The Graphics card is an old Quadro series, but it does have a pair of 512GB hardrives. I don't really need the extra space right now, but there's no point in wasting an empty memory slot on my CPU.

So do all-in-one PCs work the same way as regular PCs? (as in, can I salvage their Hard drives?)

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I am pretty new to this kind of thing.

yes, basically and all in one PC is like a laptop in design, pretty much the only things you can usually salvage from them are the hard drives and possibly the RAM. And depending on what kind of AiO it is, even the GPU.

However, also depending on what kind of AiO it is, the hard drives with either be full size 3.5" drives or slim 2.5" drives, or even an SSD if it's new enough/high end enough.

But in short yes, just take it apart and you can get the drive out.

Thanks for the help! I'll get right on dissecting my old Workstation once I finish backing up all it's files.

512GB is not a standard capacity for HDDs. Do you mean SSD?

Be aware that some SSDs are integrated into the motherboards of tablets, 2-in-1 laptops and the like.
Interesting, I had suspected it was possibly an SSD, due to simply how fast it's bootup speed was, but I didn't think an older computer would have such a large SSD. Never the less, according to this video on a similar models specs, it should be a removable SSD.
