Is it possible to use one ethernet cable for two computers?

Hey, I was wondering if its possible to use one ethernet cable (normal internet cable ofc) to connect to two computers? I'm thinking about buying another computer so I can have a streaming computer and a gaming one but I only have one cable. My current internet speed is 100mb in download and 20-30mb in upload if I use something to split it will it effect the speed I currently have?

no , but, you can use a small 5 port gigabit switch for 20$ and them connect up to 4 computers to your single network cable
