Is it possible to use this processor with this motherboard?

Pc part picker says "Some Intel B150 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Kaby Lake-S CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions."

Am I able to put this processor in the motherboard and boot it up and update the bios and get it to work?

Also, where would I go to update the bios for this motherboard?


Or should I just get a new motherboard altogether? My only issue is finding a decent micro atx motherboard with a decent processor.

It's possible if the BIOS is updated , if not it won't boot.

Go with B250 board to avoid BIOS update.
