Hello

Im tring to build a computer for my brother he really want the 980 ti or the fury x but he cant spend more than 1530$

Monitor os keyboard and other peripherials not needed just the comp itself

A 980 ti galax hall of fame really hammers that budget so i dont exactly know what cpu hdd and such to buy :/
He said he doesnt need an ssd and the smallest but quality hdd is fine also 8gb ram is fine for now
He will only play games on it i will oc his build if he needs more performance 😉
The games he mostly play are starcraft 2 league of legends dragon commander and warhammer 40k dawn of war i-ii

Is this build possible to make?

Any internacional sipping site is ok (i live in Hungary)

Thank you for your help

the card your looking at is overkill also for what he seems to want to play and do, Possibly just get one lesser card, like a r 380, and see how it works, if you want more power, get another, it will still be cheaper then the 980 and will perform just as good if not better.

Why is it overkill 😵??
He would really want that galax hof 980 ti card :/
But puting next to his existing hardware xD let me just say his computer has a 1 core 800mhz amd duron and you get the idea xD
What about an fx 4300 or sg like that? Its not too expensive
Also athlon x4 860k is kind of cheap too

Im a bit afraid thou as im using an i7 6700k and im getting cpu bottleneck playing the same games he plays so i dont know how will the amd ones do as this intel was much more expensive

if you plan on getting that card with a 1 core 800mhz the computer will die, it will bottleneck so hard. You need to get at least a quad core before you can utilize that card, and 8gb of ram.
Look at the FX 8350, 8 core, or 6 cores, at 3.2ghz, 3.5ghz, 4.0ghz, and all relatively cheap, under 100.

My build is a Monster, I can handle anything that my PC throws at it,
FX-8320 Vishera 4.8GHz
Gigabyte 970A-UD3P
R9 280X 3G OC Dual-X
Corsair GS700W
G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 2000OC
Noctua NH-U9B

all for under 900, I actually had deals at the time which dropped it to 760

Be sure to get a good PSU, most important piece in a system, its what will stay with you for years, its the heart and sould of your computer. so i recommend a high current one, that gives at least 40-50amps 12v rails. with that psu you tried to hook a 980 to it, nothing will happen as the 12v rail is not nearly enough.

The galax hof 980 ti is 1000$ the titan x is 1000$ why not buy that instead?
The athlon x4 860k is a fine cpu you will be ok with that 😉

Which one?? 😵?

My brothers pc is not compatible for sure
Agp videocard ddr1 ram 800mhz duron processor 400w codegen psu :/

Im trying to build a full new build for 1530$
That gpu is 1000$ that psu is 200$
I have 330$ left for cpu (athlon 4x?)
Mobo ram case (cpu cooler? or just use stock 😀)

I think the stock will be fine
GIGABYTE GA-F2A68HM-S1
Try this mobo it will be fine and cheap i think
Get 2x4gb ram ddr3 pretty much any is good so just go for the cheapest
Use the money you will have left after buying thiese and spend it on a case you can afford and its done 😉

You already have a hdd?

Buy the
Hitachi Travelstar Z5K500 2.5" 500GB 5400rpm 8MB
Or if you need 1tb Toshiba 3.5" 1TB 7200rpm 32MB
Both should be relatively cheap

$1530 is not a budget if you're getting a 980Ti that costs $1000. Throws the build way out of balance.
The fact that you like a 980Ti doesn't matter. If the other components are too weak, you'll never be able to max the 980Ti out.
Take for instance, a $1500 build in my region. The 980Ti costs $1000 and the 970 costs $450. So I am going with the 970 for now, and getting some other kickass components. If I got a 980Ti now(which technically I can), I'll only have $500 left, which is not even enough for a decent processor and motherboard.

Honestly, this is like blowing away all your savings on a Mercedes S class when you can live quite comfortably on a E class and have money left over for other important things.

how about this bud?
