Is it safe/okay to overclock a prebuilt PC's GPU?

(Yes, I know this has been asked before but that was from 2011 and things have changed since then)

I recently got this new HP 580-023w about a month ago for around $550, and it has some really good specs for gaming, but I wanted to know if it was safe to overclock the GPU and fan speeds/power (I am aware that I won't be able to overclock the CPU). I don't want to risk trying and breaking something, as I treat this PC like my little wittle baby.

Here are my specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5-7400 @ 3.00GHZ

GPU: nVida GTX 1060 3GB

STORAGE: 1TB HDD

RAM: 8GB DDR4

Just as safe/unsafe as any other ones. Same caveats apply, power, temps, cooling etc. as of the shelf components. Just check which exact GPU you have there.

I do not suggest you overclock any component in that computer, the power supply is inadequate.

You can purchase a good power supply, install it and you will be able to overclock safely. At the present a good GPU will cost you around $75 U.S.
