Is it safe to compress the system32 and SysWOW64 folder?

Is it safe to compress the system32 and SysWOW64 folder? I know that you shouldn't compress WinSxS folder, but what about system32 and SysWYW64? I'm not compressing the whole Windows folder, because I'm scared that Bootmgr.efi will be compressed.

No, don't compress any of that.
It will either:
-Not allow you to compress it.
-Cause windows to not load at all.
-Slow everything dramatically.
