Question Is it safe to leave an m.2 nvme in a m.2 sata3 slot

long story short, i bought a new ssd m.2 nvme (m key) and later figured out my motherboard's 2nd m.2 slot didnt support it (it only supports m.2 sata3) and im honestly too lazy to remove my gpu and remove the ssd. Is it a bad idea to just leave it in while i wait for my adapter?
