Is it safe to run computer without UPS?

I'm using seasonic focus+ gold fx-550 as my power supply, unfortunately in the area where i live is too frequent power outages, and the problem is that the power outages is only happens for 5 seconds and then the power goes back on, is it safe to run computer without UPS? because I don't have enough money to buy a sine wave UPS that will supports my PSU and it is too expensive in my country even for UPS with simulated sine wave.

if you have constant power outages like that then it would be best to have a UPS. a UPS doesn't care what kind of power supply you have , just as long as the software is compatible with your PC then it should be fine

According to some sources it is recommended/required to use a true sine wave UPS with PSUs that have active PFC. True sine wave UPSs are more expensive than stepped-sine/square wave UPSs.

I can't really find any concrete answer on the matter though.

yes, some sources recommended to use a true sine wave UPS for Active PFC power supply, whereas there are many UPS that are not sine wave with a fairly expensive price, not to mention the true sine wave with more expensive price for the brands that circulates in my country.

unfortunately, power outages can not only cause problems for your power supply, but also other parts, as you know it is even better to just leave your computer on if you need to turn it on soon after your work is done with it, because mostly the capacitors and other parts are not immune to electric shock that happens every time the system comes online, power outage is like turning it off and then on, so that shock is still there, according to you in your area, multiple times per day, so you are actually just shortening your computer lifespan.
if i were you, i would do something about it.
is there an specific time and hour when power outages happen? or are they just random?

I think you should use UPS, it is true that a good power supply with electrical features protection like OPP, OVP, UVP, OCP, OTP, SCP is to make your computer safe when a blackout and brownout occurs, but the computer needs a proper shutdown process, not a sudden stop every running process, because it can damage other components. I hope you can buy UPS as soon as possible.
