Can I update my Standard SATA AHCI Controller (ata atapi) in device manager without problems? Its says "microsoft 2006" so I assume the driver is real old and outdated, perhaps with updating I can get faster speeds like in game loading etc, my worry is: is it safe to update? or I would get blue screens as I never done this type of updating before. I usually update my graphics drivers only and thats it,

Thank you

Solution
already have one, also looks like windows 10 2004 removed the button "search online for drivers" in device manager as its only searches my computer instead, so I think I need to go ASUS motherboard website for this, do I need to update in order or I can update in any order I want? do I need older versions installed before installing new ones?
Yes, W10 removed searching for drivers thru Device manager a while ago.
Go to manufacturer's site for proper drivers. Those usually come with chipset drivers.
PS.
Some drivers are just apparently "old" but dates are intentionally postdated for compatibility purposes but actually can be quite newer.
PS 2
It's not likely to get any faster even with newer or different drivers.
to get faster game loading. get a ssd
