[SOLVED] Is it safe to use Cable Matters' VmmDPTool.rar?

Hi, there are some issues when using their adapter. They suggested me to use this tool to dump some information for them to check. Is it safe to do it? They sent me the file via Amazon's communication system.

Thank you. I also found it on MS Store. Is it better to get it from MS Store rather than the .rar file of unknown origin from that company?
