Hello, finally able to finish building my first pc here in Dubai.

Corei5, gtx1060, 8gbddr4,120ssd. 1tb 7200 hdd, 450 bronze psu..

I loaded windows10, and started to populate my hdd with apps (photoshop, office, dota2, steam..) but it seems to lag / freeze windows in between.. ?

make sure in the bios the 12v rail is above 11.7v. make sure it holding. if the power supply not holding it can cause lock ups. as it a new build make sure the mb has the newest bios file. if it an older i5 thta uses ddr3 ram make sure xmp profile is on. if it newer ddr4 ram make sure the mb reading the ram speed right. make sure the newest intel chipset drivers from intel are installed.

Hi there Koyabult,

I believe that taking a look at Resource Monitor may be a good start. See if there is really high usage of some of the components. Many users a facing some high disk usage issues with Win 10.

It would be nice to test your HDD as well: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility
If there's something wrong with it, just back up your data.

Let us know how this goes,

I tried reinstalling everything, including a fresh windows 10. Seems like it was un update that bogged down the system.. I read a thread here where he also experienced something like that..

Anyway, at least my unit is now snappy as a new pc should be. Just need to find a way to delay / suppress those updates.. :D
