Is it that simple?,

I currently running on nvidia 1030 2gb graphic card, and wanted to replace it with something better, but is it that simple? Buy a new Graphic card and just put it on the board? Do i need to install the software? If so how do install it when the graphic card isn’t even running. I’m having a tremendous headache about this.

Setup is : AMD A8, 8gb ddr3, 2gb nvidia 1030, maxsun motherboard

Upgrading A GPU is very simple. Once the new GPU arrives, go into DEVICE MANAGER on Windows and disable the display adapter (the old graphics card). Now, shut down your computer and remove the old one and replace it with the new one. Boot up the PC and make sure the new card is enabled in device manager. After that is done, just install the drivers for the new graphics card, then you're done. So the short answer is yes, it is simple, but thee are a few steps.

Hope this helps!

Uninstall old drivers from card , turn off PC and unplug, take out old card. Install new card. Have monitor cable inserted into the port you use. Reinsert power to PSU, and Boot computer and download drivers from AMD or Nvidia depending on the replacement card.

Oh, man you guys are quick! . Thanks for the answer guys really, you helped me out real bad.
but one question (probably dumb), so when i disable the gpu from the device manager and put in a new one, the cpu will boot normally or it'll boot but with a reduced resolution like 800*600 and all i have to do is download the driver to enable the True poowah of the gpu?.
