[SOLVED] Is it time to go to Windows 11? If so, how?

I recently just bought an Alienware computer with Windows Pro 11. It works great!

I like the format and am thinking about upgrading my other, Windows Pro 10, to Win 11.

Should I do so? How? I read something about June 22......?

What are specs of your windows 10 pc?
Are you sure, it supports windows 11 ? There are hardware requirements for this upgrade to be available.

Install and run windows 11 installation assistant. It will tell, if upgrade is supported on your hardware.

Whether or not "it's a good time" to upgrade to Windows 11 depends on how you feel about your current system and what the future holds. If you stay on Windows 10, the only thing Microsoft's rolling out for it are security updates and other bug fixes. There are no feature updates that are getting pushed to it anymore (well maybe except if they want to add some interoperability thing). Basically, Windows 10 is on "just keep it working" path. If you want the new whizzbang features that Microsoft wants to push out for Windows, you'll have to upgrade to 11. Basically look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Features_new_to_Windows_11 and see if enough of that will convince you to upgrade.

There's " a few bugs" in every software.
Especially new releases.

Open the command prompt and input:
TPM.msc to kick things off.

If the WIndows Update page shows that it can be upgraded to Win 11, do it through that function.

The problem with Windows 11 is a lot of its critics think it's the "odd" release that sucks. So immediately they're coming in with a negative viewpoint. And by "odd" releases, people believe Microsoft has this curse where every other Windows release has issues and people should just skip it.

Are there issues? Probably with a handful of people with loud voices. I've been using it as my daily driver since the first week and had zero technical, show-stopping problems. The only growing pain I had was the UI adjustments which I got over within a month.

There seems that every software, maybe also every hardware come in one of two categories.

1. Experimental
2. Obsolete

Therefore I am going for Windows 11.
