Hello, I'm thinking of getting a 9070 XT. I currently have a Ryzen 7 5700X3D, 32GB 3200MHz and a 7800XT on an AM4 system running at 1440p. I'm struggling to figure out if upgrading my CPU/motherboard/RAM is needed to really see the benefit of the new GPU. Any insights into the real-world performance difference would be greatly appreciated!

No, you should be fine with the 5700X3D in most games.

Some games are graphics limited like fast action shooters.
Others are cpu core speed limited like strategy, sims, and mmo.
Multiplayer tends to like many threads.

You need to find out which.

To help clarify your CPU/GPU options, run this test:

Run YOUR games, but lower your resolution and eye candy.
This makes the graphics card loaf a bit.
If your FPS increases, it indicates that your cpu is strong enough to drive a better graphics configuration.
If your FPS stays the same, you are likely more cpu limited.
