Whenever you have a disconnect between the ability of a gpu to generate frames and the ability of a monitor to present them,
There can be screen tearing and latency issues.

If it's anything like how the PG279Q worked, TFTCentral noted that going up to 165Hz does increase response times a little bit due to the pixel overdriving being less aggressive.

However, I would argue the difference between 144Hz and 165Hz is minute enough that you should not even consider the 165Hz option. The difference in cycle time is just barely under the millisecond scale here.

You'd have inverse ghosting afaik but it should decrease input lag not increase
