Solution
It might be true if you work in NVidia's marketing department but in the real world no!

I've used both AMD and NVidia cards and I would say the AMD cards on the whole have been better for the money, the big advantage of NVidia is the software is much better. See GeForce experience V's craptr.
The big daddy AMD's get hot though, so make sure you have good case ventilation but they are still good value for money.
Even if you get a 970 the PSU is just crap and should never be bought for gaming. Change it regardless of what you get. I would go with the 390 because you will have some money to put into your PSU. The PSU is made with cheap parts.

Your PSU line is pretty much the reason the CX series has become the reason of so much hate on Tom's.
It gives a bad name to smaller capacity CX units, most of all the CX430 which is rated 9, which I use. I agree it's still only for strictly budget builds, but it's actually decent, unlike the 750.

Yes, it is. But Corsair don't make their own power supplies. Corsair's reputation rests on their top-end AX, TX and HX line of power supplies, made by Seasonic and maybe other OEM's, which have fantastic build quality. That's why Seasonic is recommended; they make their own PSU's and the quality is excellent.
