[SOLVED] is it worth getting the 8GB version?

im planning to buy either a RX 5500 XT or a GTX 1650 Super. i noticed that the latter only had 4GB. is worth getting the 8GB of the former?

If your PSU is not an issue, then I'd get the 8GB card between those two. In hind sight, the GTX1650 is more of a replacement for the GTX1050/GTX1050Ti. If you looked at a GTX 1660Ti or higher and compared it to the RX 5500XT, my vote would go to the Nvidia card.

i dont really need 8gb, it is overkill for my 900p needs (soon to be 1080p)

Between those two it depends on the game but usually the 1650 Super will have a slight edge over the 5500. You also will have better drivers with the 1650 Super.

For 1080P the amount of VRAM is somewhat irrelevant and wont make much of a difference.

1650 super is the better deal and will probably give you a better user experience.

GTX 1650 Super for sure, it's faster than the RX 5500 XT. And has superior memory compression so it's 4GB vram is more like 5GB or maybe 6GB of vram on AMD cards.

At 900P the 1650 Super will do great, should run everything you need at super high frame rates.
