I was wondering is it worth it to give 850 EU for a 1440p monitor ?
The monitor I was looking at is

ASUS
PG278Q

The problem is my country, you can barely get anything cheap of high end components, because if i live at USA i would instantly buy this monitor and even the simple GPU is same price as 1-2 high end GPU.

NOTE: Here in my country everything is 20% more expens

Here is a run down of my own experience with Swift:

1. Price: Not cheap, not much to say about that.

2. G-Sync: Game changer, really have to see it to believe it.

3. 1440p 144hz: as my first 144hz monitor, I was impressed by how much smoother it was for me. I also had other reasons to pick a 144hz monitor (DSR being a big one).

4. TN: Not bad for a TN monitor. My previous TN was an SS and I had another IPS, ViewSonic VX2770-SMH, the TN was definitely looks more washed out when comparing out of the box setting, I never did any calibration on either monitor though.

All in all I would rate the monitor 8 out of 10. Expense and the amount of tweaking required to make the most out of the monitor lost some points.

For the purpose of G-Sync, there are cheaper versions out there (AOC G2460PG for example), and there are IPS monitors due out soon (which should be better colors out of the box than swift, no idea on the expense or its actual performance since there are no reviews yet).

EDIT: If you have only a single 970, I would probably recommend either 1080p 144hz or 1440p 60hz, so I probably opt for AOC version. It wouldn't hurt to wait what other G-Sync monitors come out later in the year, the release should speed up this year.

I don't regret buying swift, but the price was indeed heavy.
