[SOLVED] Is it worth it to install hdd with sata1 cable in laptop?

I have a notebook which comes with sata 3 hdd and sata1 DVD-ROM. I want to replace hdd with ssd and
with the help of caddy want to install hdd in place of DVD-ROM (sata1)

how much it affects the performance of hdd with sata 1?

Replace your DVD with present HDD and put SSD in it's place. HDDs, specially slow ones like 2.5" will not loose as much speed as an SSD would.
Install OS on SSD of course because if it's still on HDD, SSD will not help any.
