Is it worth it?

Is it worth upgrading my GTX 780 to a Sapphire R9 390x Tri-x OC? If so what sort of frame difference will I be seeing?

What kind of frame rates are you currently getting in your games now? If you have 60+ FPS on a 1080p monitor with high/ultra settings now, you probably won't see a major impact. If your running higher resolution, the 390x might make a noticeable difference.

On arma 3 I get around 40-50 fps on 1080p, with mid/high settings.

Arma3 is a CPU intensive game, so frame rates will not noticeably improve.

Hello,
I would say no, it's not really worth upgrading. The 780 is still a very good GPU, and can run most games at high settings, at 60fps already.

Also, on the Tom's GPU performance chart, they are in the same tier: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/gaming-graphics-card-review,review-32899-7.html

I would upgrade when you are consistently not getting 60fps in various games.
