Im currently using a asus 27inch 1080p running 60hz monitor and was thinking about upgrading to the Rog Swift 27inch 1440p that run at 144hz max. I know the jump is good but just how good is it?? will I be able to notice the difference? and will my rig handle it?

my build:
Intel Core i7 3820 4-Core LGA 2011 Processor
ASUS Rampage IV Extreme Motherboard
Cooler Master Silent Pro Hybrid 1050W
G.Skill Ripjaws-Z 32GB (4x 8GB)
2X Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970 OC 3GB Video Card

Only you can say if it's worth it. You don't need it. Higher resolution just means less FPS, in a sense.

Many say you can't really see 120Hz and above. Instead, you feel it, in that everything is silky smooth.

If you have the money to burn, go for it. You have a strong build.

Ye, no point with those cards. They aren't powerful to enough to manage a steady 144fps at that resolution in newer games at least. Old games, sure, but you don't buy a 1440p to play old games. Two gtx 970/980 sli perhaps. and with Nvidia, you can take advantage of the g-sync feature, which is limited to Nvidia cards, freesync are for AMD cards.
