Question Is it worth overclocking a i5 6600k

Is it worth overclocking my i5 6600k im pretty uneducated on this and i dont know the benefits to doing so or even how to go about overclocking a processor

Yes, if you're already thinking of upgrading anyway you might as well OC the chip as it is out of warranty anyway. Worst case is if done in a very careless manner you burn up the chip you were thinking of replacing anyway.
