I mean honestly, this A8-5500 APU is complete trash, I had this since 2012, been using I for school work and bit of none-demanding gaming. Such as playing, "Paladins and TF2". But now i'm getting into CSGO, Overwatch, and some Triple A games like Star Wars Battlefront 2. That Radeon 7560D intergrated graphics is just a no no for those games. I'm no where near trying to build a new system with my budget being under $1000. I found a few FM2 socket CPU's and APU'S that fit on my ASUS f2a85-m motherboard. My power supply is also 300w, so I think upgrading both the GPU and APU but go over the power supplies limit, especially how the A8 APU used to be 65w and now the A10 is 100w+ the GTX 1050 ti which might be over the PSU wattage. So, is it worth upgrading or should I save up for maybe a budget Ryzen 2400g+ GT 1030 build?

My gtx 1050 (nonti) and entry-level ryzen runs GTA 5 in 1080p higher settings very well. My CPU is not fully utilized most times since my GPU is maxing out first, meaning you could run it on a weaker cpu. According to this article, the perfect gpu for that cpu would be a 750ti 2gb.http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2898892/5500-botleneck-gtx750.html
You can find this quality EVGA card used for around 75 dollars us.https://www.ebay.com/itm/EVGA-Geforce-GTX-750ti/264103399794?hash=item3d7dca1172:gimg%20data-src= heres one that doesnt require any power connectors for 80 dollars us from new york (i would avoid fishy china listings)
You can get a refurbished 1050 that uses less power (still no connectors) for 100usd that wouldnt give u...
Sounds like a good plan for now. The gtx 1050 can do 1080p 60fps with reduced settinhs in games like fortnite, pubg, tf2, csgo, doom, rocket league, gta5, and most modern titles. No gtx1050 to my knowledge requires any power connectors, making it plug and play with your psu. What specific 1050 are you going to buy? You dont need to go with one that has a fancy cooler since they run very cool and dont overclock very well. I have a pny 1050, the cheapest one at the time.

Maybe a Zotac Mini 1050, or a Gigabyte Single Fan 1050. Also by the way, I know that Low Profile Cards are made for smaller size cases, but do they use less power also? If so, I think it's better for my to pick a LP GTX 1050 so the PSU has more room for other hardware.

All gtx 1050 will consume about 75 watts max, so it does not matter. I would pick a smaller one since you won't run into case space issues. Your power supply should be fine with any 1050. Is your pc full size, or a small form factor pc? The Zotac mini 1050 should work well. Keep in mind that you cannot use VGA for any new GPU. You can usually use DVI, HDMI, or display port.

My computer is a ASUS CM1745 Essentio PC Case. I don't know if it's a certain type of cases for a type of motherboard, but I assume it's Micro-ATX according to the specs page, it says, "uATX" which stands for Micro. Comparing the case to the cases I saw yesterday when I went to go grab my 75hz Gaming Monitor and my Corsair MM300 Mousepad. The case is really small. Soo, it would be in between small form and full sized. It has the shape of those HP (not Omen) Gaming Desktops, not slim, not too big just in between.

Alright, i'll try my best. But for now i'm actually holding off of the upgrade for the Desktop PC. My Laptop is good enough right now for eSport titles. I haven't been playing many Triple A games so i'll hold off and get it as a gift in 2019.

Ok jokes. I'm buying the card this week. 1050 ti or 1050? I already have a Xbox soo the more demanding games will be on the console. eSport titles will be on the PC. Now the only games left are, "Warframe, Fortnite, CSGO, PC Building Simulator :))), Overwatch. My PSU is actually a 350w AcBel PSU, not 300w. 1050 ti is in my budget now, would it be safer to get a 1050 ti or 1050? And also, my motherboard (F2A85-M) only has one 1x Slot which is my Wifi card, the PCI-E x16 is on top soo there's no space for the GPU. Is it better to switch to ethernet and not wireless so I can let space for the Low Profile or regular GPU?

Not sure about that PSU, couldn't find any real information on it (though my search was a very quick/hasty one), but I'd say go with the 1050ti.

I'd recommend wired ethernet any which way. Faster transfer speeds when on a LAN (say copying a lot of data). I've always done so.

I would normally recommend the 1050ti but for your system since a google search shows th A8 performs like a Core 2 quad Q9650 from 2008 and that CPU is fine with an 1050ti. Yes, I would use ethernet for a better experience in games with less ping issues. 350 watt should do it, and I can't find any info on that PSU other than a replacement, so it likely isn't particularly good nor bad. A gtx 1050 will work theoretically with even a 240watt psu with a low watt cpu.https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bftjQZ As you can see your full build: A8 5500, FM2 mobo, 8gb ram, 1tb HDD, Zotac LP 1050, and wifi card pull only 169watts, meaning that it won't stress your PSU much.

I don't know what my Dad is doing but he wants to use the Graphics Card as a upgrade to the old desktop then after when he has time we both build a PC with the card in it. Please make a $500 to $700 Gaming PC, in a not some RGB case but in a nice easy for cables and sleek clean design like the Phanteks P400s or the NZXT H500. My Dad said the budget was $600, but I told him that the WINDOWS 10 KEY is almost the most expensive in the build, I told him that add all of it together $500 isn't gonna be a way to go unless you have a APU. Also, try your best to make it as future-proof as possible. Like a higher PSU for future upgrades. I live in Canada so make sure the prices are in Canadian Dollars. (Meaning those parts will be expensive eh?)

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hb3f4q Here is a build for decent performance, including an AMD Ryzen 3 1200 and gtx 1050, the only problem is that its 670CAD (+WIN10) and you could build a more powerful build that would literally double your fps for 790CAD (+WIN10). For example, for $67CAD more you could get a ryzen 5 2600 with 3 times the processor threads, newer 12nm node, and higher clock speeds. In fact, if you plan on pairing this GPU with a newer cpu build later on, I would go with an Rx 570 for a, since the 4gb version has double the vram over the GTX 1050 (there is an 8gb model that is pricier and offers little performance gains), and nearly doubles the 1050s framerate in a lot of games, while only costing 200CAD where the ZOTAC MINI 1050 costs 180CAD.https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FDKPD2 The only problem is that your current PSU likely wouldn't have the proper power connector(s) to make it work, making the gtx 1050 more suited to your build with the A8. The 570 is also a bigger card, even though it is just as modern. With a new build, you should go with the RX 570 since any new PSU would be capable of powering this card. Even the 1050ti is less powerful than the 570. You will still see a good framerates with the 1050, but even the R3 1200 will be underutilized in most games with that GPU. However, i would suggest buying the 570 and a new PSU now and using them with your current system. You could easily put both in your new build. For either build listed, I really don't know where to cut corners without cutting performance. If you could stretch to 800CAD you would improve your setup a lot. If not, the first setup is close to my setup and would perform great.

Hey, I actually replacing the ENTIRE system. I'm not keep the other one, soo far I got a ASrock Mobo, ASUS Cerberus 1050 ti, 16 GB 3000 MHZ RAM, Ryzen 2200g, Phanteks P350x, and some cheap SSD's and HDD's. These deals are awesome at Canada Computers. They get a sale then a mail-in rebate. which basically is 40% off
