My current card is Asus strix GTX 960 and i was wondering if its worth upgrading it to the GTX 970 or waiting for the next nvidia cards to come out? Because im planning on getting star wars battlefront 3 when it comes out and im not sure if my card will be able to run it at very high settings and maintaining constant 60fps.

I'd wait a bit until the 300 series hits, 960 is on the weaker side compared to 280X/290/290X/970, but since BF3 doesn't come out for a while, you have time.

You would see a performance change, yes, but not that much I'd imagine.
Probably the difference between running the game at medium - high @ 60 fps / high - very high @ 60 fps.

If you're desperate, I'd say go for it only if you can sell your 960 at a decent price, or even go for SLI 960 if you have a good enough PSU.
If not, I'd wait for a more substantial upgrade, such as the 980 or the next Nvidia series.

I can run gta 5 on mostly very high settings with turned off AA and grass, shaders, post fx cracked to high and get around 65-70fps average although it drop drop down to 47-55fps when there is alot of cars and traffic in downtown.

I am bit spectical waiting for next Nvidia cards because i hope it wont require you to upgrade a new motherboard to be able to have NVlink support. My PSU is 750w corsair

And I am probably going to be playing Black Desert mostly next year.
