Question is it worth uppdating my cpu?

I am curently running intel i7 6700k on msi krate gaming board with 16 gb ram and gigabyte 1080 GPU. my wondering is , is it worth upgrading to a newer cpu? an d in that case. what would be my choises in that case?
i use the pc for Gaming on a 1440 p Acer montior at 120 hz and a secondary aux monitor at 1080p my use is casual streaming and some content work loads and ofcours lots of tripple a gaming

Unless your CPU isn't accomplishing what you want it to it really isn't worth getting a newer CPU.

The 6700K is still a really good CPU and if paired with good cooling & a Z170/Z270 motherboard for overclocking there really is no reason to upgrade yet.

If it's solely for gaming even calling any CPU a upgrade is giving it too much credit considering they play on 1440P.

If your CPU is capable of hitting the same 4.7 GHz as my 7700K, it should last another year or two in most games. barring the sudden desire to become a sudden professional live-streaming gamer...
