Is it worth upping the refresh rate to 74hz on a 60hz monitor?

Hello everyone first of all my English is not that perfect so ill try and make it as understandable (if that's a word) as possible i have a quite old monitor but still holding up pretty well after all this years and name and model is LG W1943SB. This monitor has 60hz refresh rate max i tried turning up the refresh rate to 74hz and it worked successfully that's the max refresh rate the monitor can go. Is it worth putting the monitor at 74hz? will i see any differences in gaming or daily use? Is it bad for my monitor?

I think the display turned a bit yellow i think and the quality got a bit bad at 74hz
