I wouldn't use it.
I especially would not pay for it.

What wrong with the built in Windows Defender?

Kaspersky and other similar antivirus apps try to detect "in the wild" viruses.
That is viruses that nobody else has discovered yet.
That does take some resources and, these days, I wonder about using Russian sourced apps.

Fact is that most viruses come in via social engineering.
Clicking on a bad link in an email, for instance.

Windows defender does a fine job of detecting known viruses.
It is updated via windows update, and has very little impact.
A while ago, in a test, it was tops in detecting known viruses.

Given the current situation with Russia and the West, governments such as Germany and the US are not recommending the use of Kaspersky products.

Be aware too that Yevgeny Kaspersky, is a former Russian intelligence officer and friend of Putin so you may want to consider removing that security app completely.
