Is Kingstons switch to nand really slowing down their ssds?

I do not know much about storage and how to measure their speeds however I am learning but right now I do not now much. Kingston switched to nand and I have read some threads but I do not know enough to tell if their ssds are actually slower.

Any help would be great thanks!

It's not that they switched to NAND, they've always been NAND. They just switched from Toshiba NANDs, which are top quality and fast, to Micron which are slower and less reliable.

I don't know that there's any way to tell for sure what you'll get if you order from Amazon, only that they are currently building them all from Micron, so unless you're getting an old one (which I doubt from Amazon) it'll be the slower Micron version.

Why not opt for a Samsung EVO instead.

Ok thanks that makes sense however price is a big thing for me and I am only looking to put my os on it so are there any cheaper options?

My budget is $50 usd.
