So I want to buy an SSD since I only suffer from my HDD, I have seen this pretty m.2 NVME SSD "ADATA XPG SPECTRIX S40G 256GB RGB NVMe M.2 SSD" to be exact, and am not sure if it can go with my Gigabyte B450M S2H motherboard and my R5 1600 CPU, since it says that it is compatible with AMD Althon, IDK if that is an error but I hope that it's not, anyways if anyone can help me I would appreciate it, thanks!

Solution
But is it compatible with my CPU since I have heard it might not be and there is no "compatibility" view on their official website.

https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/B450M-S2H-rev-10/sp#sp

1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280 SATA and PCIe x4/x2* SSD support)
  • Actual support may vary by CPU.
  • Supports only M.2 SATA SSDs when using an AMD Athlon™-series/ 7th Gen. A-series or Athlon™ X4 APU

If you're using an Athlon CPU, that port ONLY supports a SATA M.2 drive.
Otherwise, it supports NVMe + SATA. Like your R 5 1600.

It is fine.
It will work.
