Do i need to be logged in to surf easily? It seems that if I'm not, I get an
abundance of "Cannot Find Server" errors. Once i log in, however, they go
away. I don't like startups that aren't necessary, so I'd like to ditch it
if possible.

Thanks

Greetings Patrick,

Messenger running or not will not affect Internet Explorer; are you sure that perhaps your
ISP was experiencing some difficulty and the behavior you saw was just a coincidence?

Possibly. I'm on cable, and it could've been congestion. I'll give it
another go. Thanks
