Is mixing Corsair Vengeance Ram with LP ones safe

I currently have the full sized Corsair vengeance (2x4gb) with the heat spreaders and I'm wanting to get a larger cpu air cooler while doubling up my ram, so can I use a set of low profile ones along side the full sized ones with heat spreaders or should I get 2x8 low profile ones?

Most likely you will be fine

What CPU and Motherboard, Some Mobos are picker then other some generations of CPUS are pickeyer then others(Phenom And FX series are known for this), Aslong as both are the same clockspeed no problems should occur especially if there both Corsair DIMMS.

I currently have a FX-6100 and a GA-970A-UD3 which I plan to update the CPU to a FX-8320E or better to prolong the life of my system

Im almost 100% sure you will have no issues as long as the clock speeds are the same and the dim's are the same size GB wise
