Is my build good for gaming?

Solution

Please calm down. First of all a 290 is barely less powerful than 780ti. It was MADE to run hot and doesn't throttle at high temps like the 780 and 780ti do badly.

For the price I would have one over a 780ti easily. Simply makes more sense. With the non-reference cards coming out soon, heat will not be an issue.
This thing would be a beast. If you want to save $100, you could get a R9 290X, which is nearly the same performance in games, and it has an extra gig of VRAM for better multiple monitor/high resolution gaming.
Other than that, happy building!

DO NOT GET A 290X they are miles too hot at this current time and they are no where near as good, stick with nvidia as you will get: Gsync, Shadowplay and ability to use shield that 780ti will kick the sh** out of any gpu at the moment

They run hot, but not too hot. They are shown to have a very minimal decrease in performance once the system is left to heat up.
Additionally, if you really want to, you can take the $100 that you save and get a water cooler, which would make it a strictly better card.
On a last note. The 780's performance dropped significantly if it was in warmer conditions. The 290x was engineered to be able to run hot, and it does a good job at handling those conditions.
If you want to do some reading on it, here you go.
