the black drive is for gaming
the red drive is for media, storage, programs

will this drive set up work?

I am looking for a 6 monitor setup, what graphic card, cpu would be best? (for high performance gaming, video rendering)

my budget is 1000-2000 USD

the newer skylake vs haswell cpu in real life there not much faster. i would keep the cpu and mb you have now till it failes. in few months pick up a newer pascal or amd gpu that uses the newer memory conncetors that faster then ddr5 ram. for the red drive make sure it 7200 rpm. the 7200 drives will move larger files faster then 5400. if you can try and put money into more memory so you can run a ram drive. ram drives are lot faster then hard drives and ssd.
