is my cpu dead ?

motherboard pin connectors were messed up (or i messed them up) and i think i shorted (?) the motherboard. When i plug in the power cord the pc turns on immediately (without me pressing the power button). Pc doesn't post. I removed the ram to check if my motherboard beeps. And it didn't beep. Fans are running really fast (probably 100%). PSU is working, i checked it. Motherboard is probably dead, but i want to know if there is a way to check if my CPU is working without putting it to another board (because i would have to buy a new motherboard).

Sadly that is how you check. Maybe see if there's a computer store nearby that'll test it or see if a friend has a motherboard you can borrow.

Have you considered asking a shop to test it for you? That should cost much less than a new motherboard.
