[SOLVED] Is my CPU Faulty?

I built a pc with AMD Ryzen 3200g and an Asus B450plus motherboard. I updated the bios to the newest version with an older amd chip. But it still won’t boot.

After I press the power button it turns on but nothing happens after that. No display or anything. When I used the other CPU. It allowed me to go into bios and update the bios.

1 easy way is to
Unplug the power plug from the back of the psu or from the wall which ever is easier to get to.
Press and Hold the power button you use to power on your cpu for 10- 30 sec.
the plug back in and try to boot.

Disconnect power and remove the battery and leave for 5-10 minutes and then put the battery back and connect power and see if that works

Are you sure, you used correct BIOS update?
Which BIOS version did you use?

I cleared the CMOS and still no luck.

Are you sure, you used correct BIOS update?

I updated to version 1201. Which according to the Asus website is the right one

What is your motherboard, yes it's an asus b450 plus but is it prime or tuf?

You could've just updated to the newest BIOS... version 2008.

Your 3200G is supported from the 1201 version and newer BIOS versions.

Your 3200G is supported from the 1201 version and newer BIOS versions.

I can’t check it right this minute. Would there be a problem with it if it were the latest bios version?

No, of course not... the corresponding microcode for your CPU will be included in every update from the 1201.

You could try reflashing with the latest BIOS version(2008).

I put in my old cpu and checked. It is at version 2008. I then put the 3200g back in and still no luck. I cleared the CMOS before booting and still no image.

Are you using the integrated graphics from the CPU or a dedicated GPU?

What's your other working CPU?

Can you post the other specs of your system?... RAM, GPU, PSU.

Have you checked if there are any bent pins on that 3200G?

I’ve checked and there are no bent pins on my CPU
My other CPu is a RYzen 2200g. RAM is Corsair LPX Vengeance 16GB(2x8) 3200Mghz
Psu is Corsair CX550m 550 watts

Have you tried running the system with the bare minimums?

Disconnect all storage drives and run with a single RAM module.Also, test the modules in each slot on the motherboard.

Upgrade from Ryzen 3 2200G to Ryzen 3 3200G is very minor. Not much benefit in doing so.

The 2200 G is from a different computer. It Hass to go back into the other computer when I’m done. It was only used as a CPU to update the bios for the current computer.

That worked. It booted up after I went to a single stick of RAM in the third slot. Thank you so much.
