I just installed Cities Skyline and I notice my fan is a little louder than usual. I downloaded speedfan and core temp. As I am still learning quite a bit about building PC's

I include a picture of the reading both apps were giving. Nothing ever broke over 69 or 70 in the CPU dept. but my GPU was hitting 76 nothing higher. Do I need to purchase a cooling system or a can of air? Thanks in advance

The temp on the i5 is good. The lower the better yes but you really don't need to worry until you start hitting that 85deg range. High core looks to have hit 75 max so no problem there. As far as the graphics card is concerned my HD 7870's I used to have in crossfire would hit as high as 80 without any trouble. I wouldn't like to see a 7800 series much hotter than that.

As far as the fan noise.

If its the processor fan the best thing you could do is upgrade the cooler. Larger cooler = better cooling = less noise..... usually. Cooler temps also give longevity to the processor. But again the temp you are running is in spec.

If its the graphics card fans the best thing I have found is to increase the airflow in your case. If the case...

Basically it sounds to me like the new software is working your components more than you are used to. Things may be running a bit hotter so your fans are ramping up creating more noise. Unfortunately most of us have the same issue to varying degrees.

Awesome thanks man. I went on ahead and purchased a new cooler to replace the stock one just to be on the safe side
