Is my CPU too hot for the load?

Is my CPU temp too hot considering the load, the CPU shouldn't be under too much stress as chrome was open and I was copying files from one location to another. I'm using the Intel i7-3770 (Non-K Edition) and currently using the intel stock cooler. Do I need a third party cooler, and If so, which one (Budget friendly please!)

clean up the fan and repaste if you could also what is the air flow in that case .

~70'C would be a little on the high side for ~50% utilization, even on a stock cooler.

Saying that, your ambient temps will play a part. Where are you located? What kind of temps do you experience in the room the setup is located in?

PC was cleaned out last week with fresh Cooler Master Thermal Paste Applied to the cpu. Bear in mind I had upgraded from an i3-3220 to an i7-3770 during this process.

My room is a lot hotter than the rest of my house, that could play a problem. Im in the UK at the moment, so we're in the middle of a "Heatwave" upto 30c indoors, sometimes above.

you where using a 55 watts cpu and now using a 77 watts one so temp got higher did you use same cooler and i would look for a after market one .
