Is My GPU Dead?

Okay so i was trying my setup in a new case and i had everything hooked up I turned on the pc and there was no display the little green light on my gpu is on and the fan spins everything else works but I have no display. I tried on-board video and it works but I get no display with my Gpu. It all worked before in my old case. Also If this helps I previously tried the Gpu on another board and It wouldn't work for that but when I put it in the old board it worked fine till I switched cases.


Setup:

Cpu: Core 2 duo E7500
Mobo: Intel DG41TX
Psu: Cooler Master elite v2 550w
Ram: ? 4GB
Gpu: BFG GTX 280
Hdd: 7200rpm 320 GB

Seems like you've got some problem with your connected cable. What plug does the cable connect in? VGA, DVI-D? Try to use another cable.

It uses dvi-d But I have an adapter that makes it vga, I think that might be the problem. I'm going to test it with another computer.

I am not very familiar with those, but I think you'd have to have an "active" DVI-to-VGA adapter, since it's switching from a digital signal to analog.
