Question Is my gpu dead??

I recently got a gtx 780 evga FTW gpu and when I installed it and booted it was just a black screen nothing else. Anyone help?

Specs :
I5 2500 3.3 Ghz
Gtx 780
12GB DDR3 1333hmz ram
500w Gold 80+ PSU

Did you plug the monitor into GPU?
Also, make sure you plugged into the PCIe power connectors into the GPU.

Yes i did plug the monitor into the GPU and all the power connectors are connected
and the model of the PSU is Coolermaster Model NO : RS-500-ACAB-B1

personally i think the reason behind this issue is the fact that the recommended PSU wattage for the system is supposed to be 600w, normally you can get away with being just under the recommended yet you are quite far behind. Good Luck on fixing this issue.

Your psu is crap. With a rated efficiency of 75% its not even 80+, let alone 80+ gold.

It needs an upgrade. Whats your budget.
