Hi,

I've been busy video editing for my small YouTube channel. I've spent ages working on this video, its been a real pain to put together and I've spent hours editing it. I thought I'd exported and turned my PC off. Anyway, this morning I turned my PC on and the resolution of the screen was 1280,1024 and it would allow me to change my screen to a higher resolution (I use an ultrawide monitor). I restarted the PC with no joy of any improvement.
I thought I would fix this issue later, I just wanted to export the video and don't want to loose all of the work I've done. I opened DaVinci resolve and got a message saying "DaVinci Resolve could not find any OpelCL capable GPUs"
I then opened "Device Manager" and there is an exclamation mark next to my GPU and in the device status box, it says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)".

Does this mean my GPU is dead? I have tried removing the GPU and re-inserting it in case the connection has become loose.

If buying/installing a new GPU resolves this issue, should I upgrade? I'm not a complete IT novice, I don't mind adding RAM/SSD's etc. however I'm no PC buff. My current GPU doesn't require it's own power source and I'm worried about installing a new GPU if it needs its own power source. Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 (3200mhz 6 cores)
RAM: 3 x 8gb Corsair Vengeance
MOBO: ASROC AB350 Pro4
GPU: Nvidea GeForce GTX 1050ti
PSU: EVGA 500 BQ bronze

It's a few years old now, so not fast by any stretch. I have thought about upgrading the CPU as well in the hope of increasing performance, but not sure what the weakest components are.
