Is my GPU FAN dying?

Hello. I have this Palit GT 630 2GB DDR3 128BIT model. Yesterday I took it apart and applied new thermal paste "pea size" and assembled it correctly. What I noticed is that the temps seems to be higher than before... which was weird. I also cleaned every dust. Before disassembly I was getting already high temps in full load like 65 - 70 in Borderlands 2 this is at 1080p btw. After new paste the fan started sounding wrong... then temps shoot up to 77

Now this card is already 3 years old and it was the first time I took it apart. You'd probably think that the heatsink is not sitted properly, too much paste etc. etc... but in full loads... the fan just gives out this weird noise... it's like a "whirling some sort of noise like a loose bearing" I know this noise... the noise was also made with one of my case fans dying out. Please help how the hell can I replace this gpu fan? I do have another GT 630 as a spare this one is from ASUS it has no fan xD but damn what a shame if this Palit one has to die just because of a silly little fan

it's not normal at all... the ASUS gt 630 spare I have sits at 65C full load

It's sitting at the same temperature as before you reapplied the thermal paste? Is 77 your load or idle temp?

Before I applied new paste the gpu sits around 37 - 40 which is still the same. What's change is the sudden increase of heat or "spiking" opening new windows, webpages or anything spikes the palit 630 to 45c... immediately in 0 - 2 seconds while the Asus 630 remains stable at 38 - 39 when opening apps. It gets worse during gaming... the gpu gets up to 77C - 78 max (Palit) while at stock clocks which is 758mhz and 535mhz mem. The Asus one is factory overclocked to 900mhz both mem and engine clock and it sits at 65c max! Both at 1080p... the only difference is that the Asus version has only a huge heat sink while the Palit one has a small heat sink while a fan sits on top which is now making this weird noise.

Also before the new paste, full load sits the same with the Asus version which is 65c... now 77c. I don't know if it's the paste which needs curing or something broke or the fans just gave up
