is my graphics card compatible?

I bought a graphics card a few months back and I was told I just needed more ram. I put everything into a new case. I was wondering if my graphics card was compatible with the computer. My graphics card is a Geforce Gt 610. I have 8gb of ram. It has a 500 wot power supply. Is the graphics card compatible? Thank you.

If your graphics card can fit into a PCI-e slot on your motherboard and you have the sufficient power from your PSU to power it, it will work. You RAM will not change the compatibility of your graphics card at all.
