Hello, I commented about this a few weeks ago, and this topic is about overclocking my GPU too much.. So I overclocked my GPU and when I did, the screen started to become weird.. So I restarted my PC because I overclocked my GPU on MSI after burner and it reset the GPUs settings back to normal.. I took it out when I was fully resetting my PC so it could cool for a couple of days.. I actually smelled the graphics card and it smelled like burning wires, or cables.. No I dont know how graphics cards are supposed to smell but I am really worried that I had fried my GPU.. Also after I restarted my PC, I tried a test run of GTA 5 which runs over 30 FPS on my PC. Then I checked the frame rate and I was getting barely 15.. The graphics card is the GT 740 SC Single Slot

Solution
The 740 is not a gaming gpu and is not meant be overclocked, it doesnt have ample cooling. I recommend contacting the manufacturer and rmaing the card , just do not state that you were overclocking. If they do send you another card do not attempt to overclock the card again.
