Code:
I have an internal SATA HDD that i've connected to my laptop with an adapter, I can view the root contents and some subdirectories, but most directories just will not load, it just hangs forever and the loading bar just seems to go up exponentially and never loads. I can't copy data because it also hangs. Windows is unable to scan the drive ("There was a problem scanning this drive").

CrystalDiskInfo says:

Health: CAUTION
Code:
ID Attribute Current Worst Threshold Raw Values
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
C5 Current Pending Sector Count 100 100 0 000000000002
C6 Uncorrectable Sector Count 100 100 0 000000000002

Not sure by what you mean by recoverable, the files from it? By a professional data recovery service, probably if you can see some files and it works in a computer more or less.

There is a utility called ddrescue you can try, it images the disk onto a second disk, with attempting several tries on failed areas and then will ignore them and go to the next sector. It can take a long time to run, I have seen it run for several days.
