Hello everyone,
I recently ran a S.M.A.R.T. check on my hard disk drive (HDD), and I wanted to get some opinions on whether it is still safe to use.
The "Uncorrectable sector count" and "current pending sector count" attribute has a raw value of 1, which marked as yellow. The health status is marked as "Caution," and I'm concerned about the reliability of this drive. Should I be worried about the "Reported Uncorrectable Errors" value? Is it time to replace this drive, or can I continue using it safely for a while longer? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

A disk can fail at anytime. You should ASSUME your drive will fail tomorrow. Nobody can predict when it will fail.
Follow the 3-2-1 backup philosophy.

Thank you for the response and suggestions. I'm going to start thinking about buying a new HDD and backing up my data regularly before I can buy a new one

just a tip if you want to keep your data better i recomend you keep the os on one drive and all files on another drive it helps with wear and tear.

drives die from the ammount of writes to the drive faster then reads. so spreading the heavy writes over multiple drives helps especially games.

any important files i would get a decent size usb
documents/game saves etc and back them up to that.
or whatever is important to you. as usb are dirty cheap and at least youll have a back up if the pc dies.

Yep, I'll do it. And one more question, do you think the above problem can still be fixed? so that the raw value returns to 0. I have run CHKDSK and SeaTools with Short Self Test and Short Generic Test with no problems or errors found

There is no "fixing". The drive has at least one bad sector. Will that become 100 sectors tomorrow or will it still be one in five years? There is no way to predict.
