Is my laptop good for gaming ?

I have a Dell Inspiron N5010 laptop. Its specs are
Intel core i5 M480
ATI Mobility Raedeon HD 5650
4 GB 133 Mhz RAM
500 GB HDD...
Is my laptop good for gaming ? Can I play Battlefield 4 and Assassin's Creed 4 ? Upto what extent can can I use it for gaming ? Is there anything I can do to increase FPS during games ?

Black ops 2 may work on low settings, assassins creed IV may play on low settings Ghosts Will not work at all or it might with insanly low seetings eg: 640 x 400 but games like COD MW3 High settings WAW High Sttings Battlefield 4 no chance but like i said maybe on 640 x 400 battlefeild 3 maybe and battlefield 2 high settings. You could probably play on low quality. But your not going to get anything spectacular. As in many laptops the gpu will constrict you.

Laptops aren't the most powerful.

I am not guaranteeing that you can. But apparently yes, it can play BF3/BF4 on low medium (from Youtube video benchmarks) at around 30 FPS >>> Hah I have problems believing this but I guess its possible! However, make sure you update your graphics card drivers. And you might need to change your resolution.

I can run Battlefield 3 and Black ops 2 at medium setting at 1366*768 resolution.

Then you should be good to go, and almost the same settings. BF4 runs the same engine as BF3. And given more time, new release like BF4 will become more optimized when they release newer patches and remove bugs and what not.
